In this month's film screening, we'll be showing the first part of "In the Eye of the Storm - the Political Odyssey of Yanis Varoufakis".  To get a peek at what's in store, here's an excerpt from the film summary:

"In the Eye of the Storm — The Political Odyssey of Yanis Varoufakis is a six-part documentary series that begins by telling the story of Varoufakis’ dramatic battle with the European establishment: an epic struggle to rescue the most bankrupt nation in Europe, exposing the dark side of power at the highest levels. 

The fate of Greece was merely a symptom of a crumbling global system, and the series continues by weaving a gripping narrative about the multiple crises we are facing, joining the dots between the disintegration of the European Union, the failure of austerity, the rise of Donald Trump, the attacks on democracy, the spectre of fascism, the implosion of capitalism, and the historic climate challenge."
