Topic: Democracy-in-Action

Subtopic	Group	Email
The Deliberative Democracy Collective is focused on practicing and strengthening real democracies! This group tackles our political vision as outlined in the DiEM25 Manifesto: "To empower the people [...] we envisage new layers of deliberative democracy (e.g. democratic deliberation councils comprising randomly selected residents) between the voters and elected representatives (e.g. parliament, local and national governments)."  Join us to organize and help realize our vision. If you'd like to join or just get re-acquainted, please signup an on-boarding meeting with Michael Sinclair, msinc7@yahoo.com. (Taking place first Tuesdays of each month 30 minutes before our monthly regular meeting. For more information, please write to msinc7@yahoo.com.	Deliberative Democracy Collective	msinc7@yahoo.com

Context We are DiEM25 members that worked on DiEM25's Migration Policy per our policy making process. Having completed the task, we have decided to maintain our focus on the topic through this collective.  What do we do? We are currently supporting the Movement by developing communication and campaign proposals. These are then communicated to the Coordinating Collective for further consideration and execution. If this sounds interesting to you, consider joining us. How can you join? If you want to get more information of what we are doing please contact us at this email: policy@diem25.org and if you want to join please fill this form. Who are we looking for? We want people that are willing to give us time to review, discuss and work on our shared ideas. We meet monthly and are in regular contact via Signal. Previous experience on the topic is helpful but not mandatory.	Open Borders Collective	policy@diem25.org

At a more economic level, the group is investigating how the transition to postcapitalism can take place. Where our oligarchic economies transform into decentralised cooperative enterprises - horizontally organised with no shareholders except for those employed in them. If this sounds interesting to you, then please join us! General Note: Members have the option to create additional thematic collectives on this theme. For more information, please write to thematic@diem25.org	Postcapitalism Collective	thematic@diem25.org
